Crimestoppers is an independent charity which collects intelligence to help the police solve crime. You can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 at any time of the day or night to pass on information about people committing crime. Callers will not be asked for their name or their address, and no information will be sought which will identify the caller. All information is given totally anonymously. This kind of information is often the last piece of the jigsaw which enables Sussex Police to act and is invaluable. Sometimes rewards can be paid anonymously for information leading to arrest and charge.

However the Crimestoppers number should not be used to report a crime that has occurred. To report a crime, call Sussex Police on 101 to speak to the help desk OR contact Sussex Police at https://www.sussex.police.uk/, select ‘report’ and give details. It is important that all instances of crime are reported so that Sussex Police can assess how best to allocate resources to tackle localised crime problems.
