Volunteers needed for Community Speedwatch in Burwash Parish

Are you concerned about speeding and antisocial driving in our area, and have a few hours to spare each week?

Community SpeedWatch (CSW) has a proven track record in helping to reduce deaths and injuries on the roads and is looking for extra volunteer coordinators and operators for Burwash, Burwash Common and Burwash Weald.

If you are  interested, please contact Ken Macleod on kenfmacleod@btinternet.com or go to  www.communityspeedwatch.org for more information. Full training will be given.

Sussex Police, who operate over 200 local groups and 1,300 operators and coordinators across the force area, say Community SpeedWatch intervention reduces speeding in most parishes by eight per cent.

“Road safety is everyone’s responsibility and by working together we can effectively help protect our communities from antisocial driving. Remember anyone can report antisocial driving through the Operation Crackdown website,” said CSW officer Steve O’Connell.
