A little bit of normality in our lives! As usual, we will be decorating two trees
in the porch of St. Bartholomew’s, this year depicting our Club’s Diamond Anniversary which takes place in 2021.

Please come and see our two trees which will be lit up continuously from Friday, 11th December until after the Christmas period

Due to current restrictions, St. Bartholomew’s cannot hold a Christmas Tree Festival this
year. Normally, this is one of the several fund raising events organized by the Fund
Raising Committee of St. Bartholomew’s which aims to raise in the region of £9,000 each
year towards the housekeeping of the Church, that is the gas, electricity and general
running expenses. We are, unfortunately, a long way from achieving this sum during the
present difficult times. Events like Flower Festivals and Safari lunches (remember them?)
have not been allowed for safety reasons. This fund raising is a separate item and should
not be confused with the recently held Appeal to raise funds for the repair of the Church
roof.

We hope you will enjoy our trees. It would be wonderful if you felt you could give a
donation to Church funds. If you feel you could give, please send your donation to Chris
Woodburn, PCC Treasurer at Oak House, Heathfield Road, Burwash, TN19 7HN or pay
your contribution directly to St. Bartholomew’s Church PCC, Sort Code 60 10 30 Account
Number 11584580 (marked Christmas Trees). Cheques should be made payable to St.
Bartholomew’s Church, again, marked Christmas Trees. There is also a donation tube
inside the Church which you can use. Any queries, please ring Maureen Jenner on 01435
882 045.

Happy Christmas Everyone
